Every one of us grew up in a quiet patch of the suburbs where the community was pretty tight.
I had the same friends from kindergarten on up.
Every one of us kids all sort of drifted to other cliques in high college after we hit puberty, Mom was an accountant and her wife was a lawyer, which meant their kids had a wonderful life. Every one of us kids went on several getaways each year and had all the games, toys and gadgets the people I was with and I wanted. My Moms were quite handy with fixing things around the house despite being professionals. He’d grown up on a farm where they had to maintenance a lot of things themselves. So that meant the kids and I rarely had any carpenters or plumbers coming to sort out things at home. My parents both agreed that the central cooling and heating unit required professional expertise. Mom recalled a time back at the farm when my Grandpa had tried to maintain a faulty heating unit in the middle of winter. He ended up making the issue worse, and they had to brave a week in the cold before an A/C worker came over to maintenance the faulty heating unit. Mom learned from a very early age to constantly call the A/C expert if there was ever an issue with a central cooling and heating unit. It was a miracle they had survived the Winter time separate from having heating that time. One time, the cooling unit at home was blowing cool air into the house. I guessed that the issue was a dirty air filter and asked Mom if the people I was with and I could remedy it. He said no and instead called over an A/C worker to come and check if that was indeed the case.
