When you live out in the boondocks, you have to get smart about stocking up on essential supplies.
You can’t afford to forget important items at the grocery store if you’re only able to go once a week at best. The closest stores to my house are over 30 minutes away in either direction, so keeping lists of what I need is tantamount to avoiding shortage problems. You don’t want to run out of things like toilet paper and cleaning supplies when you need them the most. My only solution to avoid these problems is by creating extremely detailed lists and charts for all of the items I purchase and use from nearby stores on a regular basis. That way I know when I’m out of coffee or water if I’m just heading to the store for a box of garbage bags or aluminum foil. Aside from being so far away from important stores, I’m also severely limited on professional services living in this area. I was really sad to learn that there are really only two plumbing services that will drive this far out to do basic repairs, installations, or maintenance. When I went online to look at customer reviews, I was relieved to learn that the closest of the two plumbing services near me had wonderful reviews going back over 10 years on various review websites. The plumber who arrived for hot water heater service and maintenance was both knowledgeable and friendly. The cost of plumbing service was both fair and affordable. Even though there is one other plumbing company to choose from, I feel like I made the right decision.
