Exciting new construction with a dual fuel system

Most people buy houses whether old construction or new which most times means a neighborhood already exists and then they make several changes to the house if there’s something about the house that they do not like. It is not often that you get a family that wants the house constructed from the ground up because it is very time consuming and at times it can be more expensive than an already existing house. It was going to be a bungalow because the family of five did not like the idea of having stairs. The house was now at the phase where the heating contractor would come in and set up the new heating system and all the necessary ductwork. The family had consulted a local heating dealer to handle all home services that help with indoor comfort. They had decided to go for the dual-fuel system coupled with a digital thermostat and given how low the temperatures could get here it was a wise decision. The furnace could serve them very well during the cold months while the electric heat pump would take over for the other months or when necessary. Together with the fireplace that they had asked for, the house would be very cozy. During their consultation with the heating technician, she had given them various tips on how to save energy with their HVAC and how to care for and maintain it. They needed to schedule annual heating maintenance to ensure the HVAC gave its best and also to prolong the lifespan of the equipment. The maintenance would include a furnace/heater tune-up and a heat pump service not forgetting to change the furnace filter regularly.
