When my father passed away, I went back loft for the first time in 20 years.
My sister wanted me to stay with her, but I decided to get a hotel room instead.
I was about 15 hours away from my sister’s loft plus 30 hours away from the cemetery. I helped my sister make all of the plans, but I told her that I was not planning to attend the funeral. I was only there to help my sister take care of everything. She was very upset, even though she understood why I didn’t want to attend the services. My father was the reason why I had not been loft in 2 decades. The first day I was back in town, my sister plus I spent all day working on preparations, however by the time I got back to the hotel, I was ready for a long evening of rest. The HVAC equipment had other ideas for me. It was extremely loud plus noisy. I called the front desk clerk to complain about the sound of the A/C unit. The girl told me it was normal. Her solution to repair the problem with the noisy HVAC plan was to bring me a fan that would drown out the noise of the HVAC unit. While I enjoyed the offer, it was an particularly crazy idea. After three evenings in the hotel, I decided to check out a day early. I stayed a single evening with my sister. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The next day, I flew back home.
