I come from a small town in the midst of nowhere.
Well, perhaps I’m being a little dramatic! It’s not such a terrible venue, however our town only had 3500 residents. Many people are farmers, while others run small dealers in town. The area has several churches, a single of which my parents and I attend. Last Thursday, the group of us all got up early as we regularly did and got ready, and resting on the farm was a foreign concept, so we rushed to do day chores before heading to church. On such a hot Summer day, I looked forward to the cool conditions inside the church. But, what I discovered was quite the opposite. It seemed like the commercial cooling unit that made the church comfortable in Summer was not working. All the windows were open, and the venue felt muggy. Dad was upset and went to speak to an attendant about this complication. The attendant didn’t have any wonderful news for him. It seems like the cooling unit had broken the previous day. The pastor had called an A/C corporation to send someone to repair it, however nobody was available until Thursday… Since the next day was no good, the pastor saw it fit to try and figure out the problem. While working on the HVAC ducts, she leaned too far, as she was laying on the ladder and fell. The pastor ended up messing up her ankle due to trying to repair the faulty commercial cooling device on her own. It would have been better to explain the issue to the congregation and wait for the Heating as well as Air Conditioning experts to come on Thursday.
