The county is pretty big.
It takes about 90 minutes to drive from one side of the county to the other. If you run into traffic, it can take even longer. I work for an AC repair service that is on the west side of the city. We usually get calls for repairs on the west side and South side, but we got a call from the beaches the other day and it was in the middle of the night. I was working as the emergency service technician at the time. The call came in around 8:00 at night. It wasn’t very late, so I had to respond to the call. The emergency AC repair was all the way at the beach. I got into my work truck and it took 65 minutes for me to drive from my place all the way to the job at the beach. The customer told me that she needed emergency AC repair services. When I got to her place, I quickly realized that the issue was not the AC unit at all. It looked like the old thermostat stopped working. I was able to rewire the thermostat, but the older woman said that she would rather have something new. I had a couple of different thermostats on the truck. I brought a few samples into the house so she could look at the things that I had available. She selected a Smart Wi-Fi enabled thermostat. Honestly, I’m not sure that the woman will be able to figure out how to use it, but I’m sure there is someone that can teach her.
