My sister had the furnace running constantly but I still needed a space heater in the basement
My family and I are from the south and we rarely leave our place to go anywhere. When my sister moved up north, I didn’t think I was ever going to see her again. She got a really good job working at a law firm. She moved a thousand miles away and the first Christmas that she was there, she paid for everyone to fly to her place and spend the week. I was not going to go, but at the last minute I decided it could be fun. My mom convinced me to make the trip. I was still mad at my sister for moving away from the family. She told me that she was not going to leave me here with our parents and she did. My sister’s place up north is really nice. It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It’s bigger than my parents’ entire property. My sister tried to make sure that everyone had a really good time. She planned some activities and took us to fancy restaurants. On Christmas morning, there was a tree and lots of presents for everyone that was there. There was even snow on christmas. Snow on Christmas is really pretty in the morning, but it was really cold and frigid. I have never been so cold in my life. The space heater and the furnace helped to keep me warm but I was happy when we returned back home. I missed the mild and warm temperatures.
