I'm thankful for a wood stove when it gets really cold out

That’s the source of all the firewood that I use for my wood stove

Weather has been particularly cold this year at this time. Even though it’s still September, yesterday the temperature got down below 50°. I ended up having to wear extra warm clothing when I left the house for work. His days like that but I really appreciate the fact that I don’t ride my bike to work anymore. For the longest time I was writing a bike because I didn’t have a working vehicle. I finally saved up enough money to buy a used car that could get me to and from work. And when it’s really cold outside, I always have the heating system running in the car. When I’m at home, I hate having to run the furnace because it costs so much money. One of the ways you can keep your home warm without spending nearly as much money as by using a wood burning heating system. Often that’s either a wood stove or a fireplace. In my case I have a wood stove at home. I live on a piece of property with a lot of trees so I’m able to use trees that die and fall and cut them up after they dry out. That’s the source of all the firewood that I use for my wood stove. And when I’m using a wood stove alongside a furnace, I’m spending a lot less money on the furnace everyday. I feel really fortunate to have the wood stove, it’s extremely helpful when I don’t have the money to run my furnace all the time. It really helps that all of the wood that I use for my wood stove is free.
