My cousin called to tell me about the new HVAC technician who was at her house.
She spent almost an hour telling he wasn’t a very good HVAC technician, and she was afraid he may have done more damage to her air conditioner.
After asking if she called the HVAC company to complain, she pshawed me. She said he was still young and probably learning. Why would she want to report him to the HVAC company and get him in trouble? If he wasn’t very good at being an HVAC technician, she needed to tell his boss. He could give him more training, and maybe send him back to refresher classes. Maybe all he needed was to have a mentor go with him for a while. It wasn’t doing him, the HVAC company, or their customers any good, if she didn’t open her mouth. He would think he was the perfect HVAC technician unless someone said something. She refused to be that person, but I didn’t. I took her for her word about who the HVAC technician was and asked for him to come to my house and repair the air conditioning unit. I knew there was nothing wrong. My husband had previously inspected it for us. I called my husband, who owned the HVAC company, and told him what was happening. I told him my cousin wouldn’t let you know, so I was going to do it for her. He reminded me not to say anything that would let me know who he was, and said thank you for keeping an eye out for his HVAC company.
