Cold air blowing from air registers

Last week was probably one of the most busiest work weeks that I have experience in starting my job last May.

This is mainly because they new year is right around the corner and we are in the process of updating all of our forms and our employee handbook to reflect our new policies and procedures for our employees to follow.

My desk is right above one of the air registers and I couldn’t believe how chilly it was. I went to the thermostat and it read 68 degrees. I was a little curious since our thermostat was set to 72 degrees. I decided to let the furnace run a little bit longer to see if the office would warm up a bit. At least two hours went by and I went back to the thermostat. The thermostat still read 68 degrees after two hours. I knew something had to be wrong, but I decided to wait until one of our maintenance men came back from lunch. For the time being I put my coat on because the temperature was dropping in the office. That entire day I had to wear my coat. I called my boss to see if he knew where the maintenance men were but he said that they both called out. All of this time I thought they were at lunch. I suggested that we call an HVAC technician but he said he did not have money to pay a service charge to have an HVAC technician come to the office. I was furious and decided to leave as I could not work in a cold office anymore.
