Cold air blowing from air registers in result from a dirty air filter

Who would have known that Heating, Ventilation plus A/C systems can be so complex.

There are so many parts and nooks and crannies in an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system that neither I or my spouse can figure out. The other day I was home alone enjoying our three small children when all of the terrifying it seemed like the home was becoming much more colder than normal. I figured that my spouse set the temperature down lower to save on utility bills, however when I walked over to the temperature control that is mounted on the wall near our kitchen I saw that the temperature was set to what my pal and I normally have it at: 72 degrees. My buddy and I like to keep our home a bit warmer due to having two smaller children in our home. This week was really not the day where our home was nice and warm. It was freezing and the temperature control study 62 degrees. I instantaneously called my spouse at labor and told him that the boiler had not kicked on even though it was set to a normal temperature. He told me that this has happened before in our home and it was due to a clogged air filter. I went and opened up the compartment to our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system where our air filter is located, it was clogged. According to my spouse, our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system has a sensor that tells the temperature control that something is wrong or clogged and it will automatically stop all messages from the temperature control to the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. I replaced the air filter and turned our temperature control on, our boiler was functioning normal again.
