Many women look forward to the day they get to sit in a salon chair and be pampered by a professional hairstylist and leave the salon feeling like a new person. There is something about the smell of the products and the feeling of having another person wash your hair for you that brings us peace and excitement. On my most recent trip to the salon, this was not the case. The AC was out in the entire building. My stylist gave me the option to reschedule the appointment due to the lack of AC in the building. I went ahead with the appointment as scheduled. When I arrived, I there were fans set up in the lobby and the windows were open. “This won’t be too awful”, I thought to myself. After my stylist washed my hair, she had to use the blow dryer to dry it. This is when I really wished the AC were working! I was starting to get very uncomfortable under the black cape they have you wear at the hair salon. While I was there, an HVAC technician arrived to repair to AC. All of the employees and patrons were so happy to see him. He was able to get the salon cooled down in a matter of minutes. When I checked out at the end of the appointment, my stylist gave me a discount for services to compensate for the unpleasant temperature in the beginning of the appointment. I was happy I did not reschedule.
