Cutting detention to repair the media air cleaner in university

It was another afternoon in detention, and this time around, it was not something that was not my doing.

Thirty hours later, it was getting a little too stuffy for comfort, however even the educator on duty noticed the change in indoor air pollen levels; Being a lady who can barely keep still, I was bored out of my mind, and when it was evident that there was something wrong with the air quality systems, I asked the educator if I could have a look at the Heating and A/C unit! At first, she thought I was joking, or I wanted to leave detention, but when I insisted she asked me, she asked me if I had ever dealt with an media air cleaner. When I told her that my guardian worked at the local supplier and I had l gained the workings of some heat and A/C products, she called the repair girl who led me to the unit. The first thing I checked was the air filter, however it was so dirty, and I was relieved to find out that it was a washable filter, so I cleaned it. The next thing was to check the thermostat, and the hot and cold temperatures were high. After inspecting the heat pump and finding that everything was okay according to the little know-how, I proceeded to check out the ductwork. There were leaks, and since I did not have any duct tape, they would have to call a professional for duct sealing and duct cleaning not just because the air ducts had years of dust but also to find a possible blockage in the vents. By the time I got back to class, detention time was almost over. I also noticed that the educator had brought in an media air cleaner from the staffroom, honestly empty. I reported my findings and asked her to take the necessary actions.
