A big boxing match was on TV that night, my wife and I had numerous of our friends over to watch, since we are all big fans of the sport, and the event occurred on a weekend, and everyone had brought a different dish or drink to be shared with everyone else to our gathering, and we decided to go around buffet style to try everything! Somehow, we ended up a few hours later with no more food, but countless bottles of booze that my good friend Spence had brought from his bar, and we just piled the boxes in the garage by the gas furnace for the time being, as they were taking up loads of room.
Unfortunately, the gas furnace decided that night would be a wonderful one to get a sock stuck within its exhaust pump, which caused a medium sized explosion, however once the gas furnace went up, it ignited all the wooden booze boxes that Spence had brought, creating a big fire in our garage! Thank goodness my wife is a firefighter, amd quickly extinguished the gas furnace fire, and made sure to check all of the heating vents in our home afterwards.
Of course this meant that we needed to replace our gas furnace and some ducts that had been blown out with a new one! We felt this was a big challenge until we opted to go in person to our local Heating and Air Conditioning retail store, where we were able to talk with an Heating and Air Conditioning contractor about our different options, and pricing. Somehow insurance was able to pay for almost 98% of our new gas furnace, which our Heating and Air Conditioning supplier kindly installed. So now everything is running smoothly, and our next event will not be interrupted by a random explosion.
