I usually try my best to get to work early to get ready. My salon chair is busy from the moment we open. So, I learned that getting in early helps me get ready. When my first client is on the chair, there’s no time to waste. I have everything she will need to get her hair in the best condition. Another habit I have is not answering my phone until I’m done just to be respectful to my client. The other day, I finished one customer, checked my phone and saw mom had called. She left me a message saying the HVAC unit was driving her insane. Since it’s summer, I know mom works her unit all day and night like everyone else. The only issue is the HVAC unit seems to be on its last leg. Since last month, mom has had the HVAC technician over to the house 4 times. Each time she had to get HVAC repair was an additional expense which wasn’t ideal. I called mom back and gave her the same suggestion of getting a new HVAC unit. I know mom has the savings to buy a new unit, but she keeps postponing the purchase. This time I was adamant and said it was too risky for her to keep relying on the disruptive old HVAC unit at home. Mom agreed and told me she had just gotten off the phone with the HVAC company, and they were sending her a quote. After evaluating her options, she’d have them come over with a new HVAC unit and install it.
