Also, these ductless systems are variable speed systems
It wasn’t long ago when I remember talking with our friends about the difference between ducted and ductless HVAC systems. The reason why all of us got to talking about this is because 1 of our friends recently bought a ductless HVAC system and had that installed by a local company. He kept saying that he wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but the system turned out to be better than ever. He said it was amazing because it was severely energy efficient and made his house perfectly comfortable and cozy. I asked him about what kind of air filters that type of system used and he said his used washable air filters that were pre installed in the inside HVAC units. He said he has 5 zones in his house where he can have unusual temperature control settings in every zone. Most of us laughed and thought that couldn’t be possible, but all of us opted to go to hang out at his site just to see this for ourselves. The conversation unquestionably turned when all of us all saw how excellent this ductless HVAC system was. Our friend told us there were various reasons for the comfort and energy savings. He explained that using air duct forces you to lose some 20% of energy efficiency alone, and worse if you have any leaks in the air duct system. Also, these ductless systems are variable speed systems. Operating at unusual speeds accordingly allows for the HVAC to save a lot of energy. And of course, the zones make it so you don’t have to heat or cool the whole home, which also saves giant money.
