The a/c covers can prevent ice and snow from getting inside the heating device which is exactly what I wanted. However, you have to be careful with what kind of Heating and A/C cover you get. Some types can easily suffocate the heating system and cause it to break. The heating machine still needs plenty of ventilation, but the issue with that is that a singles with ventilation usually have holes in them, and those holes are enough to let snow in. So I am back at square a single. I haven’t found a solution yet, but I am still looking.
