Thankful for ductless heat pump while recovering from injury

Last summer, I tackled a large new home remodeling project.

I tore out the ceilings, walls plus floors in the upstairs laundry room plus bathroom right down to the bare studs.

This made it much easier to update the electrical wires plus plumbing pipes plus add insulation. I replaced all of the light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, sink vanity, toilet plus showerhead. I bought a new washer plus dryer plus laid ceramic granite across the floors plus inside the shower. One of the most labor-intensive parts of the job was handling the drywall sheets. I am a 55 year-old, 5-foot-tall woman, plus it’s a struggle to carry the large sheets up the stairs plus prop them in locale. To install the ceiling, I needed to split the eight-foot drywall sheets in half. It was still taxing to support the drywall with a single hand over our head while also using the cordless drill. I tore our trapezius muscle which led to several weeks of lying flat on our back, trying to recover. I was unable to kneel up for more than a fourth or more than one. I couldn’t manage to clean our own hair or even make it down the stairs. I stayed in our home office, in our bed, icing our swollen back plus taking pain pills. I was really thankful for the ductless heat pump installed into the master home office. Through an app on our iPhone, I’m able to switch between heating plus cooling, change fan speed, raise plus lower temperature plus even decide the direction of airflow. The unit is seriously compact, quiet plus energy efficient. I am able to maintain our ideal comfort level separate from affecting the rest of the house. Since I was disfigured badly enough to suffer a fever, chills plus nausea, I adjusted the temperature quite frequently. The little ductless plan also works to combat excess humidity plus circulates plus filters the air. While our recovery time was painful plus awful, having the ductless mini split made the endless hours just a little bit more pleasant.
