I was raised in a quiet suburb where the community was pretty tight.
I had the circle of same friends from kindergarten through middle college.
The two of us all sort of drifted to other cliques in school after hitting puberty, however my dad was an accountant plus my other Dad a lawyer, which meant the people I was with and I had a charmed and relaxing life. The two of us went on a lot of getaways each year plus had all the toys plus the gadgets kids my age wanted. My dad was quite handy with fixing things around the modern home despite being a pro. He’d grown up on a farm where they had to repair a lot of things by themselves. So that meant the people I was with and I rarely had any carpenters or plumbers coming over to sort out things at home. My folks agreed that the central cooling plus heating machine required professional expertise. My Dad recalled a time at the farm when my Grandpa had tried to repair a faulty heating machine in the dead of winter. She ended up making the issue worse, plus they had to brave numerous days in the frigid weather before an A/C worker came over to repair the faulty heating unit. Dad had acquired from an early age to constantly call the A/C expert if there was ever any issues with the central cooling plus heating unit. It was a miracle they had survived the Winter weather separate from heating that time. One time, the cooling machine at modern home was blowing cold air into the house. I guessed the issue was a dirty air filter plus asked dad if the people I was with and I could adjust it. She said no plus instead called over an A/C worker to come over plus check if that was the case.
