I have rescued & owned multiple cats in my life, & I was under the belief that I had seen it all.
Every now & then, of course, I end up getting a cat that surprises me. My latest surprise was a beautiful longhaired cat that visited me during a Winter time morning. The cat seemed to be looking for shelter, & the cat came walking right into my property as if it already belonged there. I truly didn’t mind my new guest, however this cat ended up proving how weird cats can be. The cat disappeared for a duration of time, & I started to worry. I looked around & found the cat stretched out on my gas furnace equipment. I soon found out this cat was obsessed with my heater equipment, but whenever the cat would be missing in my house, all I would have to do is check my gas furnace equipment & that cat would be there. He’s lucky the heating device was almost consistently on. The few times the Heating & A/C equipment wasn’t on, all I would have to do is turn on the heating system & he would come running. That kitty became a permanent resident in my property, & his strange obsession with the heating equipment never did go away. I can only believe that after surviving in the freezing Winter time weather, he never wanted to experience that awful weather again, & after finding a source of heat, he never wanted to leave my home. This was honestly fine with me, as I loved cats a ton, & I was consistently looking for new pets to take care of.
