Taking a few sandwiches on the flight can save you a ton of money.
I think I will be traveling for, let’s see, about 18 hours.
So if I bring a few apples and three sandwiches, and leave my home in the morning on a full stomach, I should be good to go when I arrive at my mom’s house tomorrow night and am hoping her fireplace is going when I walk in. Anyway, I just don’t like spending $12 on a sandwich that I can make for $2, and my sandwich is probably a lot better tasting than the ones in the airports. I will hit the local business in two or so hours and get the stuff to make the sandwiches, which will probably be turkey and cheese and lettuce. I have to go to the HVAC supplier today for a couple of hours to do some work on heat pumps and space heaters, and then I am going to go to the beach to meet my friend for a chillout sunset beer and a chat. Other than that and going to the store, I will have to pack later this evening for maybe 30 minutes and then I am all set to go. I have some clothes back home that my local contractor friend is holding, so I won’t have to worry too much about bringing a lot of clothes to wear. I can also borrow a jacket from my stepdad if it gets cold while I am there. I will do some work for this HVAC business back home to earn a little extra money for the trip back.
