It wasn’t easy trying to convince our grandma to move in with us.
She was living alone on a farm so far away.
Mom and dad were always worrying about her, and would spend hours driving there to make sure she was okay. So, when they tried to ask her to move in with us, she said no. Well, mom and dad know we are her Kryptonite, and they sent us on to convince her some more. This time grandma resisted a bit, but she couldn’t say no to us since we are her darling grandchildren. Mom and dad came to make arrangements to pack up the house, and we got to prepare her room in our house. Grandma was much happier when she saw us each morning, and agreed it was a good idea to move in with us. That first winter, the temperatures were so low that grandpa requested we turn up the heat in her room. Some time back, mom and dad installed HVAC system zoning in the house, and all the bedrooms. This meant that there was a small thermostat in each bedroom in the house. So, we could adjust the settings to benefit the room, and not affect any other part of the house. We showed grandma how to adjust the settings in her room, and she turned the heat up. She wanted it super warm so she wouldn’t be in pain because of the cold. At her age, she felt pain in her joints, especially if she was feeling cold.
