They said that getting a smart thermostat would be a great idea.
This thing has been going crazy the last few days and there must be a loose wire or something. I’m just getting frustrated as my house has been getting a little too warm and I really want to turn my air conditioning on. I really miss my dial thermostat and not all this new technology. For the last few days, temperatures have been around 80 degrees. So this house is getting warm and toasty. My wife is starting to get a little grumpy that I upgraded our HVAC system and was talked into getting this smart thermostat. She was happy with the old HVAC system but I knew we needed to upgrade everything and getting a new heating and cooling system was part of our house upgrades. So I know now I’m going to have to call the HVAC company and have them send out an HVAC technician to look at everything they did. I just don’t know why this thing isn’t working. The HVAC tech showed up at my house this morning and looked at my smart thermostat and pulled it off the wall and I became a bit puzzled. He opened the back of it and pulled a battery out and replaced it and he said, “There you go, problem solved.” I then saw it was on again and I was a bit frustrated because I didn’t know these things took batteries. The HVAC tech told me to not worry about the cost of the HVAC company sending him out because the battery shouldn’t have died so fast. I was relieved about that but still a bit annoyed that I could’ve done that.
