It’s been really cold the last few weeks. The weather’s been dropping every month as we get closer to the middle of the winter season. I’m usually fairly acclimated to the cold temperatures. I was born and raised in this climate and only left for a few years during college. But those years of being in a warmer climate got rid of my acclimatization to cold temperatures. After you’ve been in a Southern climate during the winter for enough years, you start to get used to warm temperatures even in the middle of January or February. By the time I moved back up north, I had to get used to cold temperatures in the winter again. That’s why I typically like having a space heater on hand for the winter season. Using the central furnace in this house is never enough because it’s fairly inefficient in its performance. I use a space heater in my bedroom when I sleep to keep me warm if temperatures drop below 40 degrees at night. The last few weeks have been really cold so I’ve been using my space heater a lot. Unfortunately my space heater broke down on me in the middle of the night recently. Now I have to go to the hardware store to get a new space heater for my bedroom. I’m going to be freezing at night if I don’t get a space heater right away. Luckily, this hardware store in my city is having a sale right now and all of its heating and cooling equipment. Hopefully I can find a space heater on sale at the hardware store.
