Last year the air conditioning tore up

The previous year, right before spring, our air conditioner gave out.

  • When something went wrong just as the temperature began to rise, I couldn’t believe it.

However, I seem to have that kind of luck with things in and around my house! I feel like something in our home is constantly malfunctioning or breaking down. I don’t know what’s going on, but my roommate and I seem to always have problems with our roof, appliances, or heating and cooling system at home. When I arrived at that point, I had absolutely no idea what to do. I knew that heaters typically have a lifespan that is nearly twice as long as an air conditioner. I’ve been thinking about replacing our air conditioner and heating system at the same time just for this reason. I was aware that it would cost me more money at first, but I also knew that it would enable me to save money over time by lowering the amount of money I would have to spend on energy. I was simply annoyed by the numerous odd repairs I had recently been required to make around the house. I’ve set up a fund at the bank for household repairs and services, but it seemed to be running out pretty quickly last year. I needed to buy new gutters, install a new front door, and do some roof repairs with my coworker. In other words, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a completely modern heating and cooling system. In the end, I did it anyhow because I wanted to ultimately save myself some time and money.
