Last year, just before the start of the spring season, our air conditioner suddenly stopped working.
When something went wrong right before the temperature began to rise, I couldn’t believe it.
But it seems like that’s the kind of luck I have with things around the house. It seems to me that something is always malfunctioning or breaking down around here at our house. I have no idea why, but my amusing friend and I are always having issues with our roof, our appliances, or our heating and cooling system. Why this keeps happening is beyond my comprehension. I didn’t know what to do at all at that point. I knew that heating systems typically last about twice as long as air conditioners. Simply because of this, I’ve been debating replacing both our air conditioner and heating system at the same time. I was aware that it would cost me more money initially, but I also knew that I would end up financially better off in the long run because of the money I would save on my energy costs. The numerous strange repairs that I had been required to make around the house had directly contributed to my all-time high level of frustration. Over the course of the past year, it seemed that the property maintenance and upkeep fund I have set up at the bank was rapidly shrinking. My friend and I had to replace the entry door, buy new gutters, and fix the roof! I was trying to save money, so I didn’t want to spend a small fortune on a brand-new heating and cooling system. I ended up doing it anyhow because I wanted to save time and money in the long run for myself.
