My grandmother used to warn my cousins and me that difficult things would frequently occur in groups of three. I have to admit that I never truly believed in that sort of thing, just as I never truly believed in her. But as I get older, I increasingly believe that my Grandma may have had a point back then. When I was a child, she used to tell us all kinds of bizarre tales. When it came to her, my friend and I didn’t know what to think or what not to think. Anyway, she used to tell us that difficult things occurred in threes, and my fun friend and I all accepted her word for it. She was telling me a lot of strange things that had happened to her, and sure enough, three draining things happened consecutively. One afternoon, she crashed her car, and before she could even get it fixed, she managed to set fire to her family room! It completely caught me off guard when that occurred, and I was ecstatic that she was unharmed. Anyway, my Grandma informed us that something else exhausting was certain to occur after that afternoon. Despite the fact that I was wrong, I didn’t believe it would! My pleasant friend and I were still cleaning up the family room fire the following afternoon when my grandmother discovered that her HVAC system had completely failed. The ventilation system had managed to chop up the furnace fan or something similar while also sucking in a lot of smoke. Even though I felt exhausted for her after the Heating and A/C system failed on top of everything else, I don’t understand why everything went wrong.
