I’m sitting here in my office with the fan on me as I cool down from the hot beach games we just played.
It is May first and the temps are really getting up there in the morning, so now I am going to chill out in the flat for a few hours till the sun gets a bit less intense on the beach.
I will probably bring my beach chair and a big rain umbrella, which should help shade me from the sun a bit, although it is used for the rain and isn’t a sun umbrella. Cooling down at home is necessary after heating up playing ball this morning with this 13 year old kid, and now I will stay home and get my work done before I go out for round two of the beach. I have to decide if I am going to play ball or play music and then bring out my gear to do the chosen one. My air conditioning is off right now but I will run the a/c in my bedroom each night so I can sleep without sweating and tossing and turning. I bought it a few days ago because the main unit in my roommate’s bathroom is loud and she said she can’t sleep when it runs, plus this new unit uses much less power and will save me $140 over this summer. So in two summers the mini split a/c unit will pay for itself and it will be a wash by the end of next summer and I’ll have a free a/c system.
