My space heating system has a bunch of safety features on it

You can’t go overboard with safety when it comes to fire hazards.

I lived in an condo years ago where my associate and I did not even have fire extinguishers in each unit, and nowadays I couldn’t even fathom being in a building that did not have some kind of fire extinguisher inside the room.

It would be a major risk for all of the occupants in the building if one single occupant did not have access to a fire extinguisher! Sporadically you beginning a fire while you are cooking by accident you just need a fire extinguisher to put it out, this can prevent the whole building from going up in sparks. There are other things besides ovens plus stovetops that could cause fires in homes. Space heating systems are notorious for being fire hazards over time. That’s why a lot of the newer space heating systems come with safety features on them to make sure that they are less likely to be a fire hazard, one of the most regular safety features you see in most space heating systems these days is a tip over switch. The tip over switch on a space heating system is typically activated as long as the space heating system is sitting on its base. The second it gets displaced from its sitting position, the tip over switch disengages plus the entire equipment turns off. The space heating system loses electricity plus power as soon as it starts to tip. That way the coils can’t hit the floor plus beginning a fire. Another safety feature on space heating systems is an overheated fuse. These determine if the space heating system has been left on too long plus is at risk of overheating itself.
