My space heater has a bunch of safety features on it

You can’t go overboard with safety when it comes to fire hazards… I lived in an household years ago where my buddy and I didn’t even have fire extinguishers in each unit, then nowadays I could not even fathom being in a building that didn’t have some kind of fire extinguisher inside the room. It would be a major risk for all of the renters in the building if one single renter didn’t have access to a fire extinguisher, however periodically you start a fire while you are cooking by accident you just need a fire extinguisher to put it out! This can prevent the whole building from going up in flames. There are other things besides ovens & stovetops that could cause fires in homes! Space boilers are notorious for being fire hazards over time. That’s why a lot of the newer space boilers come with safety features on them to make sure that they are less likely to be a fire hazard, then one of the most typical safety features you see in most space boilers these days is a tip over switch. The tip over switch on a space heater is consistently activated as long as the space heater is resting on its base. The second it gets displaced from its resting position, the tip over switch disengages & the entire equipment turns off. The space heater loses electricity & power as soon as it starts to tip. That way the coils can’t hit the floor & start a fire! Another safety feature on space boilers is an hot fuse. These determine if the space heater has been left on too long & is at risk of overheating itself.
