Setting my thermostat to save energy

When it comes to saving money I am the queen of it.

I make sure that I buy things on sale and get rid of items that I do not need anymore.

I have a very strict budget because I’m trying to pay off my student loans as fast as I can. Sometimes I will go to thrift stores to find gently used items that are name brand and are in good condition. I also sell some of my gently used items on a shopping app that I have. I have made some decent money with this app. About every month I make around two hundred dollars. It’s not a lot but I can put that money towards my student loans. I recently just moved to a single room apartment. I have to pay my utility bills and heating and cooling. Therefore every time I leave a room I make sure to shut the lights off. I even have set my programmable thermostat to 67 degrees in the winter time. The lower that I have it on the less that my heater will kick on. During the summer I will set the programmable thermostat to 76 degrees so that my air conditioning unit doesn’t turn on as much as well. Setting my thermostats low and high to the respectable climate outside has allowed me to save at least seventy-five dollars a month. That money has allowed me to also put it towards my student loans. I even get a maintenance plan each month so my HVAC system is in tip top shape.
