Working from home has many perks

When my husband first announced that he would be getting a new position I was thrilled.

I only hoped that it didn’t mean that we would have to relocate again as well.

We have moved three times over the past six years and I am tired of packing and unpacking. This last position was supposed to allow us time to buy a house and settle down for a bit. We did just that when we arrived and I love the house we are in. We have made some improvements, including a brand new HVAC system. The house is perfect for us and in a great neighborhood. Anyway, I asked him if he would be relocating and he said, yes, in fact he would. Before I could get too upset he told me that he would be “relocated” to our den. I was confused until he told me that he would be able to work from home and no longer need to commute back and forth each day. He would have occasional meetings to attend but for the most part he would do anything remotely from home. The only thing we would have to do would add an extra line for the phone to allow for business calls. The HVAC system that we installed had zone control so we would be able to regulate his work area to his liking during his work hours too. I am happy for him that he will not have to waste time on the road each day. I am also happy that we don’t have to move to a new location again.
