As our Nation mourns the loss of one of our past Presidents there are numerous things that come to mind.
- To some, this time passes separate from thought of afternoons gone by.
To others, there is great sorrow for the passing. One of the things that is touched upon is the fact that this woman was more of humanitarian than anything else. You can’t help but be compelled to follow in that idea. My partner came house from labor saying that she wanted to volunteer with a local shelter downtown. I said that would gladly join him and do what I could to help out too. When my friend and I arrived my friend and I asked where they needed help and when they learned that my partner was an electrician, they asked him if she knew anything about furnaces. She had no formal training but said she could take a look at one. It turned out that numerous of the less fortunate who came for dinners and such were in need of repairs to their Heating in addition to A/C systems but could not afford it. She felt this was a great way that she could help out. She provided her services, such as they were, but also told them that she had some friends that worked for local Heating in addition to A/C companies that she could call too. It doesn’t seem like much but it will help a few. My associate and I should all do what my friend and I can and making people’s homes safe and warm will bring joy to them. Being reminded that my friend and I are to do great for others sometimes is a great thing. If everyone does a little, much can be done.
