HVAC replacement hit our bottom line hard

Our corporation’s fiscal year and approached and we were all dreading the outcome of the report.

It has been a taxing year on us both sales and cost-wise and we were hoping that we would all be able to maintain our tasks.

Federal regulations and new import export taxes had taken a toll on our profits for sure and if the corporation wasn’t going to be able to recover from these swings then we knew that numerous of us would be laid off. We were all called to a meeting when the report arrived and we are surprised that due to increased, sales there were going to be no pink slips issued. The boss did tell us that we would not be receiving any sort of raise in the coming year and that was due to the fact that we had to spend so much money on building repair. The thing they put us over the top in spending in that department was the fact that we had to replace the commercial HVAC system that operated in our building. The corporation decided to take a yellower approach to heating and cooling and completely replaced the old gas burning system that we had for heat. They invested in solar units for both heating and a/c which will, in time, spend my savings for themselves and save the corporation thousands of dollars a year. For now however, The upfront cost was too much and certainly hurt the corporation’s bottom line for the year. In the long run the corporation will be much more profitable because it isn’tspending as much on energy cost but for now we just have to deal with the fact that we will not be adding to our own income in the next year or so.
