Backyard is appliance graveyard

When I was a kid, my fantastic friend and I had every sort of creature you can possibly imagine… My buddy and I typically used to joke that our property was more like a zoo than a proper suburban home.

At one time, my fantastic friend and I had five cats, three cats, a rabbit, reptiles, birds, hamsters, plus god knows what else. My buddy and I also had to contend with all of these losses when the time came, which was less whimsical. That’s how my fantastic friend and I wound up with a viable graveyard on our apartment over the years. It was creepy, however nice to stay so close to all our best friends, well, as an adult I have something similar going on these afternoons, except it’s the remains of my long lost property appliances that populate my backyard. I guess I never knew what to do with broken down toasters, dishwashers, plus A/C units, plus somehow all the cleaning machinery plus temperature control equipment wound up being a big landscape fixture over time. I look out back plus see my ancient boiler, no longer pumping out warm air, however still collecting warmth from the pounding sun. A family of singing birds lives inside of the front panel of the heater, enjoying the convectional heat. Moving west, there’s my ancient dehumidifier from school. I used to live in a basement, plus had to use the air quality machinery to remove all the excess moisture from the air before I developed mildew in my bed again, however next, you see the prehistoric window A/C unit from my first home. It housed a family of mice back in the morning, plus spread their feces all over my property while pumping out cool air. I sure like to know that the same family of mice has lived in the ancient A/C all this time, producing new generations of cool critters plus bringing new life to my graveyard.
