Well, I went and made my life extremely complicated.
I don’t know what I was thinking but I have managed to really throw a social wrench into my lifestyle. A few weeks ago while I was visiting my mom I decided to check into a dating app and see if there was anyone worth talking to. Wouldn’t you know, I matched with somebody rather quickly and we got along like gangbusters. We have an immediate connection and we both have deep feelings that are making things difficult… You see, I don’t live in this state. At some point I’m going to have to return to my actual hometown which is 700 miles away in the hot and balmy south. We’ve talked about how to move forward, but I absolutely refuse to move back up here. You see, he is living in the midwest where the climate is unpredictable and miserable all the time. Every season is a test of survival against the uncomfortable air temperature and air quality. There is 0% chance of living with your heating, cooling, and ventilation system throughout the year. You have to have a forced air furnace operating for at least 6 months of the brutal winter season. When summer rolls around you abuse a large central air conditioning system to deal with the heat and humidity. I can tell you, I’ve had enough of this hot-and-cold fluctuation for one lifetime. No matter how warmly I regard my new boo, I won’t be giving up my warm southern climate for alternating freezing and burning air. I guess he’d better start looking into moving trucks.
