Convincing husband purification is needed after letting him clean for the week

When I got married I thought it was going to be blissful all the time.

Clearly, that doesn’t work out for anyone and I’m no different.

My husband can really be something else to live with. We have many similar opinions but at the same time, we have many diverse perspectives. Sometimes, these differences are so challenging that I have a difficult time understanding the man. And he feels the same about me. Recently we have engaged in fights over our central HVAC system and indoor air temperature control equipment. I realize that neither one of us can see the other person’s perspective, so instead we keep fighting over our thermostat. Sometimes we’re even calling our HVAC technician in the middle of our dumb arguments for back up. At the core of it, we’re the same. We’re just looking for quality indoor air and air temperature control equipment. However, it’s hard because my idea of high-quality indoor air and cleanliness is very different from his. For two years, I’ve been working to convince him that we should get an air purification system which would be able to work with our usual central heating, cooling, and ventilation system. We could have the new filtration device installed to work with the larger central heating and cooling plan. However, my husband just doesn’t see the point… or, he didn’t. Whenever I was gone to visit family for a week and my husband had to clean the house, suddenly he was very concerned about the dust, dander, and mildew all over the place. It revealed that the HVAC system was horribly maintained, and his tune changed quickly. Now we NEED an air purifier, all of a sudden. Next time we aren’t compromising, I’ll just leave for the week and see what happens.
