Balancing Air Duct Supply and Return

I don’t mind my job.

Many people loathe waking up in the morning and going to work.

But I don’t mind waking up and facing the same schedule that I do every week. My schedule consists of: wake up, eat, go to work, drive home, eat, go to bed and do the same thing over and over. However I have the type of job where every day there is something new waiting for me. However these past few weeks have been a little cold when I get to my office. My office and my coworker’s office that is right next to mine are the coldest one’s in the building. It’s a little odd. This occurred for about a week until I decided to call the maintenance man to see if he could determine the problem. Unfortunately he couldn’t so he called an HVAC technician. The HVAC technician found that the reason for the two cold offices was due to an imbalance of air flow. The air volume that the HVAC system runs from the office did not equal the air volume that supplies to it. Because the air volume in the office was greater, there was an air pressure balance. This explained the reason for the large cold drafts in both offices. After the technician fixed the problem, my coworker and I didn’t have to bring our sweaters anymore. Now I looked more forward to going to work. Even though I do face a different variety of work every day, I won’t have to experience a chilly one.
