I wanted to make some upgrades in the house, and one of the upgrades included buying a new thermostat for the house.
My wife and I still had one of the old thermostats that had no options.
We had the ability to adjust the temperature up and down and we could turn the furnace and the air conditioner on and off. We didn’t even have a digital display on the thermostat. When we adjusted the temperature, we never really knew how hot or cold it was going to be. When we remodeled the master bedroom, we put new flooring in the hallway and painted the walls. At that time, I thought I would go ahead and replace the thermostat as well. The old box looked dirty and dingy next to the brand new flooring and fresh paint. My wife and I went to the hardware store together to find a new thermostat. The salesperson tried to sell us a wireless system with a smart application that hooks up to your phone, but I knew we didn’t need any of those options. I honestly didn’t think my wife and I would even be able to figure out how to use the machine. We settled on an inexpensive thermostat with a digital display that is large enough for both of us to read. The thermostat doesn’t connect to the wireless internet and it doesn’t have any programmable options, but it still looks great in the house and is a huge upgrade for the two of us. I think the machine will last twenty years.
