A dead rodent in the air ducts almost ruined our date

She had accepted an invitation for dinner at our house, and it was our chance to impress her with our cooking skills.

I am a chef by profession, although I rarely have the chance to make a meal for someone special.

I do not cook in our own lake house most of the time because I have our meals at the restaurant. She was someone I was hoping to build a future with, and so I went all out with the meal. That afternoon I even passed by the local corporation to chance an whole-house air purifier I had ordered the previous afternoon. The heat pump’s air purification plan cared for the indoor air quality, although I still felt the need to ensure that all was perfect. The same afternoon I made the order, a professional came in for maintenance and duct cleaning. The cleaning was because there was a foul stink coming from the air ducts, which I highly suspect was a dead rodent, and duct sealing to eliminate such an occurrence in the future. It also necessitated an air quality systems unit to rid the lake house of the stink because I did not recognize that the heat and A/C products would get rid of the smell when our guest arrived. I had also updated the air filter with a new washable filter which I found more economically favorable. With the air duct rid of vermin and the control unit reset to achieve the best when it came to indoor comfort, I could comfortably cook for our date and give it our best. Since it was an early dinner, by more than five Saturday, she had arrived, and we enjoyed our meal. I didn’t come apartment to an empty and cold apartment a year later.
