Glad I changed to a smart thermostat

Replacing the thermostat in my hallway was a must do. It was an old beige thermostat with a plastic toggle. My husband frequently would hit the toggle with his shoulder and change the temperature. We both then would hunt for our glasses to adjust it properly. It could only be set in a range of 10. You could do 60, 70, 80, or 90 degrees. Who wants any of those options? The beige looked bad in our freshly painted hallway with recessed lighting, new silver knobs and gray tile floor. I did some googling online because I wanted a good thermostat that looked attractive. The best one was a smart thermostat. It was small, silver and had a blue innerface. I knew it would match great. It had so many features that I figured I wouldn’t bother using. Now that it is all hooked up, I realize I love the added frequentes. I can change the thermostat from any wifi operated product like my laptop, phone or ipad. I also get alerts when the air filter needs changing, the humidity levels are off or the thermostat is set efficiently. It learns heating and cooling programs so I hardly have to mess with it. I also like that when I walk by it, the thermostat lights up and shows me the weather outside. I am constantly using that to check the weather. It gives me the weather now, in three hours and in six hours too. I just love my smart thermostat and can’t imagine going back to a basic model again.
