When my husband leaves on a business trip I kind of go insane.
I have so many projects that I plan to do while he is gone.
It is hard to work with him in the house. He requires lots of attention and also wants to get involved. Painting a room suddenly takes way more time and he frequently gets angry. It wouldn’t be out of the norm for him to whip a paint brush out of the window or break something if the project doesn’t go well. The moment he steps out the door, I get to work. I typically start with cleaning the whole house. I mop, wash windows, clean the sheets and curtains and I wipe all the surfaces. I then have a big project to accomplish. Typically it is painting a room, adding new drywall or ripping out shrubs. I then have a hired job that I have done while my husband is gone. Rather than test his patience, I just get someone else to do it. Had new outlets put in the kitchen and one time I had a plumber over to fix our shower drain. This most recent time I called the HVAC technician. I was starting to notice higher energy bills and knew something was wrong with the HVAC. I didn’t alert my husband. I just waited and called the HVAC professional when he was gone. The HVAC tech cleaned, oiled and lubricated everything. Now the HVAC is good to go and my husband has no clue what went down.
