I stole the HVAC dealer’s tools, and I will disclose that I felt pretty terrible about it.
I have since reconciled with the HVAC dealer, despite the fact that I am sure that it must have been super aggravating to have your tools stolen while working on someone’s HVAC unit.
To be honest, the HVAC contractor made it way too straight-forward to steal his HVAC tools. Most of the time, HVAC dealers travel to people’s houses with a van, and they store all of the tools that they need to work on HVAC units in the van. Most HVAC dealers will travel to and from their van to grab the stuff that they need. I noticed the HVAC van while in a rough locale in life, and I needed some currency. Sure, I could have gotten a job, but again, I wasn’t thinking clearly. The HVAC contractor had left the doors open to the van, and I sat there for a while seeing the HVAC van. It occurred to myself and others that the HVAC contractor absolutely was going to leave the doors open for a while, so I began to empty the HVAC van. I took all of the major tools that the HVAC contractor would have needed and sold them later… Unluckyly, I don’t think that the HVAC contractor was prepared for it. The HVAC dealers that I have heard of have regularly had to buy their own tools for the HVAC work. I guess that I shouldn’t have taken the HVAC tools that the HVAC contractor owned, despite the fact that I regret it now. I apologized to the HVAC contractor later and even gave him currency for the tools.
