If I don’t write it down, it’s almost as though it isn’t real. That’s just totally insane isn’t it. But without our lists, I’d be lost. It’s funny that I’m now completely out of sorts without our lists of things I like to do. When I was in our 20’s, I gave our dad a really hard time for the lists he constantly kept in his front shirt pocket. He’d be kicked back in his recliner soaking up some Heating plus A/C cooling when mom would ask him if he had done a unique thing. And dad would pull out his list to see if that was something that got checked off. If it wasn’t, then that was the end of lounging in the a/c plus he’d finish that task. Well, I’m now in that sort of spot where if it’s not on our list, then I’m not going to remember to get it done. I noticed the need for lists just a few years ago. The Heating plus A/C air filter was constantly getting forgotten. I’d go a couple of weeks or more plus forget to change out the air filter for the Heating plus A/C equipment. And that’s not a good thing to forget. A obstructed plus dirty air filter only forces the Heating plus A/C machine to work that much harder. And that’s just money wasted really. So I started out with a bi-weekly to do list that I kept on the fridge. Sure enough, I started changing the air filter every month without fail plus even calling promptly for Heating plus A/C service as well. But that one list on the fridge is now a small notebook that I have to carry with myself and others everywhere I go.
