A/C is all over the place these days and I’m really glad about that.
- Back when I was a young kid growing up, we did not have central air conditioning in our house.
As a matter of fact, there wasn’t even ductwork for air conditioning in the old house where we lived when I was a kid. My parents never really thought that it was that big of a deal but I actually used to wish that we had air conditioning back then. I remember the first time that I ever felt central air conditioning. I was with my dad and he took me to the bank with him. It was really hot out that day and the temperature outside was probably in the nineties or something. It was super hot in our car and I remember walking into the bank and feeling that freezing cold air from the central A/C for the first time. It was really something that stuck with me for a long time after that. I always used to go around town looking for places with central air conditioning when I was a teenager because I was always looking for a way to cool off since we had no A/C at home. These days, A/C is basically all over the place. I can’t think of a single bar or restaurant around here that doesn’t have central air conditioning. That goes for the stores and movie theaters around here, too. Everyone seems to have air conditioning these days and I’m really glad about that.
