My Grandma used to hide her currency in the ductworks in her house.
I used to guess that this was completely crazy, however our Grandma explained that when she was younger, they did not trust the banks because you never knew when the banks were going to fail.
I know this just isn’tsomething that all of us have ever experienced as younger people, plus so it’s not something that all of us ever have had to worry about. I know I can understand why our Grandma would know this way. If she lost her currency because of a bank, she just does not want that to ever happen to her again; Even though she does not want to deposit her currency into a bank, I still understand why she would want to hide her currency in her ductwork in her house. I know appreciate there would be a better locale to put it than somewhere where it might blow around all the time. When I said this to our Grandma, she just laughed about it, and she said that her currency does not blow around in the ductwork because she waits it down with bricks when she removes the air vent covers plus puts it in there. Occasionally I just don’t understand our Grandma, although she is constantly wonderful for a laugh, that’s for sure. She constantly tells myself and others that when she dies, that I need to kind of get all of their currency out of the ductwork before they sell the house. I know that’s what I’m going to have to do, although everyone will guess I’ve gone nuts.
