I’m thinking about installing a DIY ductless mini split

I was genuinely surprised when I learned that there was a type of HVAC system that could be installed by the average homeowner. While it was still recommended that the system be installed by professionals to get the full warranty, you could still at least get a partial warranty if you installed the HVAC equipment on your own. A few of the key features that made the installation interesting was the fact that the line sets for this DIY ductless mini split had pre-flared lines with all the connections color coded so it’s impossible to make any mistakes. The same goes with the electrical connections, everything is numbered and color coded for a very simple installation. There also is a code you can scan with your phone which will link you to their official installation video so you can handle your installation step-by-step with the greatest of ease. I also appreciate the fact that the condenser unit is not too oversized. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s large, but you can move it with another person without too much difficulty. Now with larger HVAC systems, it’s very difficult to move the condensers because they are large with a great deal of weight. These DIY ductless mini split condensers are genuinely hassle free, you just need to set up a level slab to hold the condenser and make sure to bolt it down appropriately. Or you can mount the condenser to the wall if you want to go that route, which is quite convenient. I’m honestly considering installing one of these systems on my own.
