It was exciting when I had my new ductless mini cut arrive at my home

I was really gleeful when I had my new ductless mini cut delivered to my home.

  • There were quite a few odd boxes, but that’s because I had a 5 zoned HVAC plan here.

The best part was that it is DIY so there is no need for a professional replacement. I basically had the replacement video memorized, even though I still kept it on my iphone as a reference to make sure I didn’t miss any crucial steps. One step that I already had completed before the new HVAC plan arrived was the slab to hold the outdoor condenser unit. I found the perfect spot, dug into the ground a little & poured sand to level the area. Then I set up a wood frame to pour the concrete mixture. I filled it half way & then put in my metal bar supports to keep the concrete slab stable without cracking. Then when that was ready, I poured the remainder of the concrete into the slab & of course made sure everything was leveled off appropriately. Everything was dried & ready to go when my HVAC arrived. Then I got started with hooking up one indoor device at a time. It entirely took myself and others many mornings to finish this replacement, but it was worth the hard work! I entirely considered calling in an electrician to take care of the electric hookups. Fortunately, I figured out how to install the utility shut off & I installed a small fuse box with a 30 amp fuse to connect to the HVAC. The electric part was not unquestionably simple, but now I have an amazing HVAC plan in my home with 5 zones!
