Does anybody else get particularally stressed out while in the month of October? For some reason, I have many recollections of this month of being particularally anxiety inducing for me. I think it’s difficult because the weather is start to change and I never quite know what to expect. Every week seems like it could be the last round of nice weather before winter time starts to settle in. This puts a lot of pressure on every single thing that I do. I feel like I need to be outside enjoying the bright Sunshine, hot air, and changing humidity before the horrors of winter time fully engulf the area. I’m not happy at the idea of using my central furnace in the form of my forced air furnace for the foreseeable future. I also don’t cherish shaking in my boots because of the chilly air that’s around me everyday. The worst part is, I start thinking about the upcoming holidays. I don’t particularally cherish having my family over at my home so they can mess with my belongings and my central Heating and Air Conditioning system. Every year it seems like my family members show up with the sole purpose of messing with my thermostat. They are constantly talking about the uncomfortable indoor air, the drafts, and the boiling and cold patches that they experience. As a result, they harass my smart thermostat and drive up my energy bills to extreme degrees. As if I wasn’t already sad enough about winter, my furnace, and my ability to pay high energy bills… My family makes the whole cold air season as stressful as possible.

Unfortunately, this irritability results in a lot of unnecessary stings as they try to find boiling sites in your apartment to nest. It’s terrible enough that they have been trying to crawl in through the tiny gaps in my doors and windows which need to be resealed and re-insulated. However, it has gotten much worse since they started infiltrating my central heating and cooling system. Apparently, there is an opening from the HVAC system to the outdoor exhaust vent that the red sweaters have managed to pass through.
