I come from a small city in the middle of nowhere pretty much.

Well, perhaps I’m being a little dramatic, however it’s not such a disappointing arena. Our city only had 3500 residents, and many people are farmers, while others run small companies in town. The section has various churches, a single of which my parents plus I attend. This past Saturday, we got ready as always, but resting on the farm was a foreign concept. We made our way to do morning chores before heading to church. On such a boiling Summer morning, I looked forward to the cool conditions inside the church. Sadly, what I found was quite the opposite. It seemed as if the commercial cooling device that made the church comfortable in Summer was broken. All the windows were open, plus the arena felt muggy, however Mom was worried plus went to speak to an attendant about this complication. The attendant did not have any great news for her in the least. It seems like the cooling device had broken the previous morning. The pastor had called an AC corporation to send someone to repair it, however there was no one available until Sunday! Since the next morning was Saturday, the pastor saw it fit to try plus figure out the concern. While working on the air ducts, he leaned too far, as he was resting on the ladder plus fell. The pastor ended up cutting his ankle due to trying to fix the faulty commercial cooling appliance on his own. It would have been better to explain the setback to the congregation plus wait for the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professionals to arrive on Sunday.

The pastor had called an A/C corporation to send someone to repair it, however nobody was available until Thursday… Since the next day was no good, the pastor saw it fit to try and figure out the problem. While working on the HVAC ducts, she leaned too far, as she was laying on the ladder and fell. The pastor ended up messing up her ankle due to trying to repair the faulty commercial cooling device on her own. It would have been better to explain the issue to the congregation and wait for the Heating as well as Air Conditioning experts to come on Thursday.

Then as the people I was with and I waited, I set some rules for everyone to ensure there were no more battles over the thermostat settings. It was time for the little boy to grow up, and that’s what I kept having to say to my mom. Of course, I could see the resistance in her eyes when I said I wanted to move out.
